Installation
  1. Open the Play Store on your Wear OS watch.

  3. Tap Install and wait for it to download directly to your watch.
  4. Once installed, open Bridge on your watch and follow the on-screen setup.

Yes. Bridge requires both the iOS app and the Wear OS app to function:

Both apps communicate over Bluetooth to sync notifications, health data, and more.

If the Play Store isn't available, you can sideload the APK:

  1. Enable Developer Options on your watch (tap Build Number 7 times in Settings → System → About).
  2. Enable ADB Debugging and Debug over Bluetooth.
  3. Connect via ADB over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  4. Run: adb install bridge-wear.apk

Note: Sideloading is for advanced users. The Play Store method is recommended.

  1. Battery Optimization: Disable it for Bridge — Settings → Apps → Bridge → Battery → Unrestricted.
  2. Background App Refresh: Ensure Bridge is allowed to run in the background on iOS.
  3. Bluetooth: Keep Bluetooth enabled on both your watch and iPhone at all times.
  4. Low Power Mode: Turn off when using Bridge, as it restricts background activity.
Connectivity
  1. Install Bridge on both your iPhone and Wear OS watch.
  2. Open Bridge on your iPhone and tap Connect Watch.
  3. Open Bridge on your watch — it will display a pairing code.
  4. Enter the code shown on your watch into the iPhone app.
  5. Grant all required permissions (Bluetooth, Notifications, Health).
  6. Wait 30–60 seconds — you'll see a green "Connected" indicator when successful.

Bridge uses Bluetooth, which typically supports:

  • Indoors: Up to 10 metres (33 feet), with walls reducing range.
  • Outdoors: Up to 30 metres (100 feet) line of sight.

The connection will automatically reconnect when you're back in range.

  • Health data is stored locally on your watch and synced when reconnected.
  • Workout tracking continues even without an active iPhone connection.
  • Notifications require an active Bluetooth connection to your iPhone.
  • Media controls will not function without a connection.
Features

Bridge forwards nearly all iPhone notifications including:

  • Messages, iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal
  • Email (Mail, Gmail, Outlook)
  • Social media (Instagram, X, Facebook)
  • Phone call alerts

Manage which apps send notifications in Bridge Settings on your iPhone.
