Bridge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Bridge app.
1. Information We Collect
Bluetooth Connection Data
To enable communication between your Wear OS watch and iPhone, we collect:
- Bluetooth device information
- Connection status
- Device identifiers
Notification Data
To sync notifications between your devices, we process:
- Notification content (text, title, app name)
- Notification metadata (time, category)
- App-specific notification settings
Note: Notification data is processed locally on your devices and is never stored on our servers.
Location Data
When you enable workout route tracking, we collect location data including coordinates, altitude, speed, bearing, and timestamps.
Note: Location data is only collected when workout route tracking is enabled and you have granted location permissions. It is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Establish and maintain the Bluetooth connection between your devices
- Deliver notifications from your iPhone to your Wear OS watch
- Track workout routes and create route maps when the feature is enabled
- Sync workout route data to Apple Health on your iPhone
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Debug and resolve technical issues
3. Data Storage and Security
Bridge processes all data locally on your devices. We do not:
- Store notification data on external servers
- Store location data on external servers
- Share your data with third parties
- Use your data for advertising purposes (except in the free version, where minimal data is used to serve ads)
Location data is stored locally on your Wear OS watch and is only transmitted to your iPhone via Bluetooth for syncing to Apple Health. We never have access to your location data.
4. Required Permissions
- Bluetooth permissions: To connect your devices
- Notification access: To sync notifications between devices
- Location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION): Optional — only required if you enable workout route tracking
- Background service permission: To maintain the Bluetooth connection
Location permissions are optional and only requested when you choose to enable workout route tracking.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Control which notifications are synced to your watch
- Enable or disable workout route tracking at any time
- Grant or revoke location permissions through your device settings
- Disable the Bridge service at any time
- Request deletion of any locally stored data, including location data
You can disable location collection by turning off workout route tracking in Bridge settings, or by revoking location permissions in your device settings.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
